PURPOSE AND APPLICATION

The Mid Handguard with Cover for AK (AA-11.50.000) is a reliable and functional aluminum handguard with a cover for the AK system, featuring anodized or ceramic Cerakote coating that provides wear and corrosion resistance. It is designed to replace the standard furniture and installs onto the mounting points without additional modifications to individual components or the weapon's design.

The main advantage of this set is convenience, practicality, and, equally important, its visual appearance.

CONSTRUCTION

The receiver cover is removed in the manner of the cover on the AKSU (flipped upwards) via a special steel pivot mechanism that connects the handguard to the cover. The handguard body has a solid milled base (as does the upper solid long cover with supports on the gas tube) and an adjustable half-moon, allowing the handguard to be installed on any carbine of this type.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Disassembly of the standard furniture:

Remove the standard receiver cover, bolt carrier with gas piston, and recoil mechanism.

Remove the standard handguard with the cover and gas tube.

Free the gas tube from the old cover.

  • Preparing the handguard with cover for installation:

Remove the cover from the new handguard attached to it.

Loosen the screws on the rear mounting and half-moon of the new handguard.

  • Securing on the weapon:

Insert the rear mounting of the handguard into the receiver.

Slide the connecting sleeve onto the half-moon of the handguard and close the steel flag/lock.

Tighten the locking screw on the half-moon of the handguard.

Tighten the screws.

  • Final actions

Install the gas tube and close the flag/lock.

Install the cover from the new handguard attached to it.

Start and tighten the screws at the junction of the cover and handguard.

Reinstall the bolt carrier with gas piston, bolt, and recoil mechanism.

Close the receiver cover and secure it with the roller/regulator.
