PURPOSE AND APPLICATION

The Long Handguard with Cover for AK (AA-11.00.000) is a reliable and functional aluminum handguard with a cover for the AK system, featuring anodized or ceramic Cerakote coating that provides wear and corrosion resistance. It is designed to replace the standard furniture and installs on the mounting points without additional modifications to individual components or the weapon's structure.

The main advantage of this kit is convenience, practicality, and, equally important, visual appeal.

CONSTRUCTION

The receiver cover is removed like the cover on the AKSU (flipped up) through a special steel pivot mechanism that connects the handguard with the cover. The handguard body has a solid machined base (as well as the upper solid long cover with supports for the gas tube) and an adjustable half-moon, allowing the handguard to be installed on any carbine of this type.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Disassembly of the standard furniture:

Remove the standard receiver cover, bolt carrier with gas piston, and return mechanism.

Remove the standard handguard, with the cover and gas tube.

Free the gas tube from the old cover.

  • Preparing the handguard with cover for installation:

Remove the cover from the new handguard with the attached cover.

Loosen the screws on the rear mount and half-moon of the new handguard.

  • Securing on the weapon:

Insert the rear mount of the handguard into the receiver.

Slide the connecting sleeve onto the half-moon of the handguard and close the steel flag/lock.

Tighten the locking screw on the half-moon of the handguard.

Tighten the screws.

  • Final actions

Install the gas tube and close the flag/lock.

Install the cover from the new handguard with the attached cover.

Loosely tighten and secure the screws at the junction of the cover and handguard.

Reinstall the bolt carrier with the gas piston, bolt, and return mechanism.

Close the receiver cover and secure it with the roller/regulator.
