Which firearms is this stock adapter compatible with?
The adapter is designed exclusively for the AKMS platform - AK variants where the standard stock folds downward. It is not compatible with other AK models.
Why change the stock fold direction from down to left?
Folding to the left is more convenient when carrying the weapon on a sling, in the field, and during hunting - the stock does not press against the body and unfolds into working position faster. This is exactly what the GPN adapter was designed for.
What material is the adapter made from and what finishes are available?
The adapter is made from 7075 aerospace-grade aluminum. Two finish options are available for the metal parts: anodizing or Cerakote - both provide solid protection against corrosion and mechanical wear.
Does the firearm need to be modified to install the adapter?
No. The adapter mounts to the standard AKMS attachment points without any gunsmithing or modification - only the included hardware is needed.

Purpose and Application

The folding stock adapter for AKMS is designed for installation on civilian and service weapons of the AKMS platform, whose standard stock folds downwards. By using the folding adapter produced by Gun Power Nation (GPN), it allows the installation of GPN stocks that fold to the left, improving ergonomics, transport convenience, and weapon functionality in field and operational conditions.

Design and Features

  • The folding stock hinge has a robust and rigid construction, designed for intensive use.
  • The adapter's design allows changing the folding direction of the stock from the standard "downward" to "leftward".
  • The hinge is secured in two positions using two separate buttons, ensuring reliable fixation in both working and folded states.
  • The hinge axis includes a cup for installing a quick-detach sling (QD).
  • Two adjustment screws are located on the moving part of the hinge to eliminate play.
  • A metal adjustment plate is installed at the bottom of the hinge to secure the stock in the folded position.
