The Primary Arms SLx 5X MicroPrism with ACSS Aurora 5.56/.308 Yard reticle is designed primarily for rifles and carbines chambered in .223/5.56 and .308 Win on AR-15, AR-10, and similar platforms. The fixed 5x magnification and a field of view of 5.9 m at 100 m make this device convenient for dynamic shooting in practical competitions and hunting in open terrains, where quick distance estimation is needed without switching magnification.
The ACSS Aurora reticle combines a central mark with a system of ballistic corrections tailored for specific calibers in yards, allowing for quick windage adjustments without manual input. The red illumination with 13 brightness levels (including three modes for night vision devices) provides clear contrast of the reticle in any lighting, while the etched reticle maintains visibility even when the illumination is off.
The compact body measuring 8.4 cm in length and weighing 241 g makes the device significantly lighter than classic prisms of similar magnification. The AutoLive technology automatically turns the illumination on and off upon detecting motion, allowing a single CR2032 battery to last up to 29,000 hours. The mounting on Picatinny/Weaver rails with eight height options allows for optimal fit for any firearm and shooting stance.
This scope is suitable for practical shooters, mid-range hunters, and owners of semi-automatic carbines looking for a compact solution with fixed magnification, reliable ballistic reticle, and minimal setup time before heading into the field.
