The Vortex Crossfire HD Scout 1.5-5.5x32 is designed for the Scout rifle concept: an exceptionally long eye relief (610 mm at minimum magnification and 330 mm at maximum) allows the scope to be mounted far forward from the shooter's eye - directly in front of the magazine. This solution is ideal for semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles in calibers .308 Win, .30-06, .243 Win, and similar, where traditional mounting is complicated by the weapon's design or the shooter's personal preferences.

The 2A BDC reticle is located in the second focal plane and allows for quick adjustments for distance without changing magnification - the reticle markings are calibrated for specific distances, simplifying the work for the hunter or practical shooter. The reticle illumination powered by a CR2032 battery enables aiming in low light conditions or while hunting in forests with uneven lighting.

The 32 mm objective combined with HD optics and fully multi-coated surfaces provides a bright and contrast-rich image with minimal chromatic aberrations. The aluminum housing made from aviation-grade alloy with matte anodizing withstands harsh hunting conditions, while the adjustment range of 100/100 MOA with a 1/4 MOA click value (0.75 cm at 100 m) offers sufficient range for zeroing at various distances.
