The cover is designed exclusively for the AKS-74U platform. It replaces the factory cover without any modifications to the weapon.
What material is the cover made of and what finish options are available?
The cover body is CNC-machined from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum. Two finish options are available: anodizing or Cerakote - both protect against corrosion and mechanical wear.
How many slots does the Picatinny rail have and what accessories can be mounted?
The rail has 19 Picatinny slots. You can mount optical and collimator sights, flashlights, and other compatible aiming and auxiliary equipment on it.
How is the cover installed and are any additional parts required?
Installation mirrors the factory cover: the front section is secured with a bracket and pin (included in the kit), the rear is clamped by a metal frame via an adjustment wheel. No weapon modifications or additional parts are needed.

Purpose and Application

The AKS-74U Receiver Cover with Picatinny Rail (AA 01.02.001) is designed to replace the standard cover of civilian carbines and automatic rifles of the AKS-74U platform. It provides a rigid and stable base for mounting optical and collimator sights while maintaining zero even during intensive use.

Design and Features

  • The cover has a design similar to the standard one, ensuring correct fit and compatibility with the AKS-74U carbine.
  • The monolithic aluminum body, manufactured using CNC milling, provides high rigidity and precision geometry.
  • The front part is equipped with a bracket and a locking pin (detent), which are included in the kit and pressed into the new cover during installation.
  • The front area of the cover is designed considering the standard fixation scheme, ensuring additional self-fixation and stable seating.
  • At the top of the cover, there is a Picatinny rail with 19 slots, intended for mounting sighting and auxiliary equipment.
  • The design is calculated to maintain geometry and eliminate play during intensive use.
