The mount is compatible with AK, AKM, AK-74, RPK, Saiga MK, MKM-072SB, and MKM-072Sn - any carbine with a side dovetail rail. It is conditionally compatible with AKMS and AKS-74, but the stock cannot be folded with the mount installed.
What material is the mount made of and what coating options are available?
The mount body is made from 7075-grade aluminium, with a steel clamp lever for a reliable grip on the dovetail rail. Available with either anodising or Cerakote finish - both protect against corrosion and mechanical wear.
How is the mount installed and are any tools required?
Installation requires no tools at all. Press the button on the steel clamp lever, slide the mount onto the dovetail rail from either the stock or barrel side, and release the button - the mechanism locks automatically. Removal is equally fast: one press of the button.

Purpose and Application

The QD mount for optics "AA-06.20.000" is designed for quick installation and removal of optical sights, collimators, and tactical devices on rifles with a side rail of the "dovetail" type.

The updated QD mechanism is implemented thanks to a button on the steel leg, which is used to secure the clamp of the mount on the "dovetail". This ensures reliable fixation and stable seating without the use of additional tools.

The quick-release mount can be installed on the "dovetail" from either the stock side or the barrel side.

The product is used as a standalone side QD mount and provides repeatable seating when removed and installed multiple times.

Step-by-Step Installation:

STEP 1. Preparation

Before starting the installation, ensure that the weapon is completely unloaded. Clean the side "dovetail" rail from dust, dirt, and grease.

STEP 2. Preparing the QD Mechanism

Press the button on the steel leg to unlock the clamp. Ensure that the mechanism moves freely.

STEP 3. Installation on the Rail

Slide the mount onto the "dovetail" from the stock side or from the barrel side. Ensure that the fit is even without misalignment.

STEP 4. Fixation

After installing the mount on the "dovetail", press the button inside on the leg to secure the clamp.

Ensure that the mechanism is fully secured and that the mount fits tightly against the rail without play.

STEP 5. Fit Check

Check for any lateral and longitudinal movement. The design should be rigidly secured.
